What's Your Thing

First Time Rider (by: Mark Lester - Quezon City, NO_AP)

Over the weekend my family and I went to a Mall while waiting for the Sesame Street when i saw a lovely shampoo promo girl moving smoothly from one end to another. Like an angel floating in air. My mind quickly told my body to stand up and i said to my wife and child “Is that a Seaway?!”. I ran towards the center my eyes light up and my tongue fell to the ground. Not because of the lovely promo girl, its because of the two Segway wheels that are balancing itself. Its like music that everything is smoothly in motion. I slowly walked beside the lovely promo girl and suddenly she talked to me. my mind is asking “Am I dead? An angel is taking to me”. She said that I can try the Segway if I’ll have a hair consultation. So I went to the registration booth and had my hair consultation. My hair was dry but my scalp is oily. I wasn’t paying too much attention to the consultation, what i was eager is to have a test ride of the Segway. When my consultation was finished, i was waiting for a coupon or an advise saying i can already ride the segway. I waited to 1 minute then I asked the lady in the consulation table “How can I ride the Segway”? She said I have to buy a Shampoo. With no hesitation, I bought a small shampoo and she cut a small paper and wrote “free ride”. Once she handed the paper, i briskly walk to the area where the Segway is being demo. I also asked the operator if my 4-year old son Marco can join me. They were generous enough to allow me and my son to rode on separate Segways. I was worried that my son might fall off but he handled it smoothly. We were like cat and mouse chasing each other on the tiled mall area. It was easy for me and Marco to smoothly move around. The Segway was quiet and smoothly moved and turned. I felt ecstatic when we got off. It’s not only that i saw a Segway up close but i was able to ride one. The experience is forever remembered! I still feel the movement of my body moving around until i go home. Where did i put the shampoo i bought? Hehehe!

100 days on a Segway? Why do they need to resign, does their company gave them long term leaves? I really like the concept of moving around meeting people. The Segway is a different way to experience other places. I want to see and know their experiences. maybe they can also go to other countries like the philippines and see the exciting places. I just have one question, how do they charge their segway?
