Filmmakers Chase Their Dream — on a Segway
Josh Caldwell and Hunter Weeks were bored with their cubicle-farm jobs, making good money but feeling empty and unfulfilled. Like many white-collar workers, they dreamed of a life beyond the veal-fattening pens.

In 2004, Hunter Weeks and Josh Caldwell were living in Phoenix, making money in software and on a fast track to . . . somewhere.
They were also 27 and having something of a quarter-life crisis. They wanted to quit their jobs and the monotony of, you know, income. They had a dream.

Brattleboro & DC (by Hunter)

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I think I still need to talk about Brunswick, ME too. This trip is thoroughly insane. It seems  we just start to catch our breath and we’re onto another city. The good news - we’re hitting it hard and getting tons of people to our shows. Last night in DC, we packed the house, rode Segways around the White House, and had Larry’s ice cream. It was quite an intense experience last night. In Brattleboro, we had 200 people show up to see the movie and I gotta say, I love them Brattleboroans. What a cool, little town. Kelly hooked us up with that place. Now we’re off to Philly for some Cheesesteaks and another raucous evening. BTW - Brunswick rocks too. We sold one of our shows out and had a great time at the Frontier Cafe & Cinema. We’re groovin’ now.

Any story about someone that choses to do what they want no matter how unconventional it may be is a good story in my book.

Marshmallows (by: Brandi)

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Its all about camping to me, nothing like watching a marshmallow burn on a stick in the middle of no where and watching your five year old see how many chocolate bars and uncooked marshmallows he can stuff into his mouth before his dad will notice!

The Joy of Ordinary Things (by: Sharyn)

I have not seen the movie yet but I did put it in my Netflix queue. I have been to a Segway store and tried it out. Awesome! I want one so bad.

I have COPD and I can’t walk like I used to. I can’t do the things I want to do. I mean things like going to the Zoo or the Botanical Gardens. Things that we take for granted until we can’t do them anymore. I think the Segway would give me the mobility I want. Think I could go across country? (not realistic but what a dream) Way to go guys!

*** Kicking (by: John Lee - Detroit, MI)

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

My thing is ass kicking. I like to kick ass whenever I get the chance. I once kicked a kid’s ass off the balcony of a hotel. I kick ass whenever I get the urge. The other day I walked into Kroger’s and kicked every ones ass in produce. I went down to the basketball court, pulled a kid’s sweats down, and kicked him in the ass. I used to kick ass just for recreation but now I am a habitual ass kicker. I tried seeking therapy but I kicked the therapist’s ass and walked out. I don’t discriminate when I kick ass. I kick all shades of ass color, size and tenderness. I would kick Osama Bin Laden’s ass if I could find the son of a bitch. I dug a hole in my backyard trying to find him and ended up in China. Over a billion asses got kicked that day. I kicked Chuck Norris’ ass. Enough said. When I was done I kicked Christy Brinkley’s ass right off her Nordic Track. I worked in a call center and kicked a dude’s ass over the phone. My breath kicks ass. I kicked a farmer’s ass when he gave me a bruised tomato. I bruised his ass in return. Steve Jobs invented a robot that kicks ass called the iASS. It looks just like me.

Segway is simply amazing.I can imagine, this new ride will make everybody’s life so easy everyday.I work in a shipbuilding yard and it takes a lot of time and energy to walk around the yard spread across in miles. If I am a lucky one to win a segway, trust me I will jump 3 feet up my chair and let everyone know in my company and my town about this amazing new thing in the market.

Thumbs up to Segway.
Even my wife loves it.

p.s. I will be more than happy to bear the shipment charges if I win.So please, please and please do take me in the draw.
