Gettin’ Crafty (by: Sarah)

I’ve recently started making magazine bowls. I saw some really awesome (and really expensive) ones in a museum gift shop and thought - there has to be a way to do this yourself!

Although mine don’t look as good as the ones in the store, it’s a neat little hobby and a great way to recycle old magazines.

Here’s the link to how to do it:

Surgery (by: Michael B. - Hanover, NH)

Want to enjoy “flow”?? Become a surgeon. Flow is that magical sense of doing exactly what you should be doing, in the “zone” between frustration and boredom, when your talents and your endeavors are perfectly matched. The operating room is an environment designed to optimise the likelihood of experiencing the optimization of experience. Self-consciousness disappears and your become one with the activity you’re pursuing. My thing was surgery, for forty years, and it was an unmatched privilege as a career committment!
